If 2024 taught us anything, it’s that AI isn’t just a passing trend — it’s the new engine behind Gurtam’s efficiency and innovation. What started as a spark at the Gurtam AI Hackathon in early 2024 ignited into transformative applications across the company. The flespi AI assistant is now our multilingual support champion, managing over 70% of client queries, automating complex tasks like hardware data processing, and streamlining the onboarding process for new clients. Think of it as the overachieving colleague who gets things done while you grab a coffee.
Meanwhile, the Wialon AI assistant took the spotlight in technical support, guiding project implementation and customer support teams with precise hardware recommendations and reshaping the approach for complex cases solutions. Internally, AI took care of the mundane — like document search — saving hours and proving that even robots can be good at paperwork. AI isn’t just part of the conversation at Gurtam — it’s writing new chapters. Artificially intelligent!
Every team at Gurtam has been involved in AI implementation throughout 2024.

Let’s dive into the highlights of this exceptional journey.
In 2024, Wialon didn’t just connect vehicles — it connected ideas, people, and possibilities. With over 4 million vehicles now linked to its platform, Wialon reaffirmed its status as a global leader in telematics. But it wasn’t just the numbers. Game-changing features like EV monitoring and enhanced video telematics tools gave fleet managers the most trendy functionality. Add to that automatic sensor creation feature, hardware health check functionality, updated Tasks functionality, and Tracks in mobile app, and you’ve got a fleet management solution enabling businesses to control every aspect of their fleets in real-time.
Community engagement has been the team’s focus. Wialon’s community reunions spanned the globe, from the first-time meetup in Sao Paulo to a great gathering in Dubai before the GITEX Global expo. These events brought Wialon partners together, fostering collaboration and sparking ideas. The 2024 edition of the IoT project of the year contest with participation from 100 top contributors, and the Wialon Run Challenge, blending team spirit with purpose, showed that innovation and community can go hand in hand.
Wialon’s commitment to education and connection was equally evident in its webinars, tackling topics from new features to telematics hardware solutions for fleet digitalization. A strategic roadshow in China to enhance connection with telematics hardware manufacturers underscored Wialon’s role as a thought leader in telematics.
For flespi, 2024 was a year of milestones and momentum. The platform hit a significant benchmark by connecting one million devices, solidifying its reputation as the robust backend that powers telematics innovation. This wasn’t just about scaling up —it was about simplifying the complex.
The introduction of tacho functionality transformed tachograph data extraction into a streamlined process, complete with automatic retries, persistent storage, and detailed logging. Meanwhile, SENT-GEO integration addressed Poland’s new cargo monitoring regulations, ensuring compliance while letting users stick with their preferred platforms, such as Wialon and Navixy.
flespi’s advancements in video telematics and growing partnerships with device manufacturers like Streamax, Queclink, and Howen expanded its reach and reliability. Whether it was fine-tuning connections or simplifying complex integrations, flespi consistently delivered on its promise to empower telematics service providers with tools that work seamlessly and efficiently.
This year, the GPS-Trace team shifted its focus toward enhancing the experience for service providers while major updates for end-user solutions took a backseat. Despite this shift, the team delivered a standout year by introducing several key improvements: the API, streamlined account management, enhanced statistics, and other features designed to automate business operations for service providers.
Additionally, the team launched the White Labeling option, enabling GPS-Trace clients to offer a branded experience that fosters greater trust and confidence for their users.
Implementing a new billing system created opportunities to collect customer payments and ensure seamless interactions through PayPal and Stripe integrations.
Meanwhile, the team launched a demo version of a BLE-powered asset tracking application which will be available for commercial use in the first half of 2025. This solution will enable our customers to implement projects that address energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness challenges, catering to modern asset management needs.
