Tracking driver fatigue in Azerbaijan

Problem

Representatives of LafargeHolcim, the global leader in the production of construction materials, faced a problem of tracking the work-rest schedule of the drivers, who delivered cement to the remote regions of Azerbaijan. Accidents with trucks started happening more frequently due to driver fatigue. The telematics solution had to track 169 people and measure the duration of their work and rest periods.

Solution

The Wialon partner in Azerbaijan, A+A Security, has developed a driver behavior monitoring solution for controlling the duration of work and rest periods:

Ruptela FM Eco4 Tracker helps to identify drivers in the system through the iButton option – their names, the actual start, and the end of their work periods. Each driver is assigned to a certain vehicle.
Wialon-based web application (developed with Wialon SDK) provides data on drivers’ violations in the form of reports and also creates the drivers ranking.
