The Wialon partner event was held on January 4, one day before the CES technology show, in Las Vegas, USA. It was a long-awaited opportunity to re-establish a human connection with our partners from North America. The united Wialon and flespi team welcomed each partner who made it to Nevada. Speeches and presentations were interspersed with in-person discussions about the telematics market and business matters.

In this article, we give a brief overview of the meeting, and drop a hint on how to stay in close touch with your clients and the community.

A day of exploration, new ideas, and networking

The meeting was organized in the format of presentations, with free time devoted to informal networking and exchange of experience. All in all, the Gurtam speakers covered four major topics:

  • Michael Koker, VP of Business Development (North America), Wialon, gave a recap of the achievements of the Wialon community in North America in 2021, and shared his vision for future development.

  • Andrew Nelson, Partner Manager (North America), Wialon, listed new features introduced to Wialon to make it tailored precisely to the needs of the clients and make their experience easy and comfortable. The list includes advanced video functionality, enhancements in the Wialon reports, new features in the apps, and much more.

  • Sergei Leuchanka, VP of Business Development, flespi, and Carlos Rodriguez, VP of Business Development (Andean Region & Caribbean), Wialon, presented an array of Wialon and flespi use cases from around the world. The diversity of business areas and countries impresses. Apart from the conventional domains, such as corporate vehicles monitoring in Sri Lanka, Wialon showed its applicability and effectiveness in other niches, such as garbage container monitoring in Georgia, and sugar cane transportation control in Guatemala. This proves once again the universal quality of the platform.

  • In conclusion, Michael Koker delved into the latest digital sales trends for fleet management products. He delivered valuable insights on making end-users choose your telematics services in the end.

Wialon partner conferences offer a good opportunity for the partners to not only upgrade their proficiency in Wialon, but also meet their fellow telematics service providers, discuss matters of concern, and gain valuable knowledge.

Wialon in North America today

Denis Grebennikov,
Head of Business Development Center, Wialon

“North America showed steady growth over the past year. Today, we have 365,000 units connected to Wialon here. This number is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure, as US statesman Colin Powell put it. We appreciate the great efforts made by our partners to promote and expand Wialon across the region.”

We celebrate the achievements of the North American partners together. Three partners from the USA connected the largest number of vehicles in their region to Wialon. This secured a well-deserved place in the Wialon TOP 50 Global ranking for them:

  • BrickHouse Security, gold partner status (6th place)
  • PrimeTracking, silver partner status (13th place)
  • DCS, bronze partner status (27th place)

Let us heartily congratulate the top list companies once again. That’s the way to go!
