Updates: what’s new in December 2021

updates

In 2021, we significantly extended the functionality of Wialon Hosting and the other products. Time to take a rest – but that’s not our case. So, in December, we worked on our apps’ interface and user-friendliness. We added new branding options to white label Hecterra and NimBus and included new lines and tabs in Logistics.

Logistics

Undistributed orders display

Logistics users sometimes faced a situation when some of the orders remained undistributed during delivery route planning. For example, if there were not enough vehicles or the delivery point was too far from the main route, the dispatcher could decide to reschedule the delivery.

Such orders were not displayed at the third planning step and could easily remain unnoticed. Consequently, the Logistics user had problems with customers and a decreased service level.

So we added a new line for undistributed orders at the third planning step. The line is highlighted in red and is located at the top of the list – you won’t miss it. Once you click on the icon1642158499574, you’ll see the reason why the order remained undistributed.

Undistributed orders are added to the route on the map and in the table. If you recalculate the route without considering route restrictions, such orders will be distributed to the maximum benefit for your client.

Vehicle types and delivery requirements

Some orders require special delivery conditions: temperature conditions, large-sized vehicles for large-sized goods, and so on. To make it easier to find a suitable vehicle, we added the Delivery requirements tab in the settings.

The new Logistics functionality displays suitable vehicles to the dispatcher and automatically assigns selected orders to them.

Delivery requirements can be taken from order parameters, unit properties, and imported orders.

You select orders and suitable vehicles. After that, the system automatically assigns the orders to the selected vehicles in order to get the most profitable route for your client.

Need to transport perishable goods? The application will find a refrigerated truck. Is the item too large? Logistics will display vans of a suitable size and hide light vehicles.

Hecterra

Using your logo in Hecterra

Like with other Gurtam products, you can white label the Hecterra app including the app logo.

To change the logo, please contact your manager.

Saving maps under an informative file name

Previously, if you downloaded files from Hecterra, they were automatically saved under the mapImage name. It was not informative when you needed to select one file from a vast number of other files on your PC.

Now files automatically get more informative names. If you save a PNG file with a map, its name contains basic information about what’s inside.

Let's say you save a map with a cultivation. The file name will indicate its interval (start and end date), field name, unit, and operation.

Users share their opinions and ideas about Hecterra on the forum – come and join us there.

NimBus

Upgrading the interface

In December, we improved the appearance of some pages and tabs to make your work with NimBus more convenient and pleasant. We hope you’ll enjoy the update.

Using your logo in NimBus

We added the possibility of changing the logo in NimBus, as we did in Hecterra (see above).

To use your logo in the app, please contact your manager.

Visit the forum and share your thoughts on what features you’d like to see in NimBus.

In 2021, we added multiple new features to the apps. And we’re 100% sure that 2022 will be no less successful (just watch what ambitious plans we have!). And we’ll continue informing you about them. Subscribe to our blog and stay updated on the most recent news.
