By the projections of ABI Research, the quantity of commercial telematic services users in Africa and the Middle East (MEA region) will grow from 1,82 mln in 2015 to 4 mln in 2020, indicating the annual average growth rate of 17%. Taking into account ever increasing volume of traffic in the region, it’s ranked among the most prospective for business development in the area of satellite monitoring, alongside with Latin America.
Economic growth and petroleum industry progress in the Middle East amplify the demand for fleet management and asset tracking technologies in various business domains, including cargo transportation, passenger transport, construction, taxi services, oil production and etc.
Gurtam couldn’t but enter the market characterized by fast growth dynamics and showed excellent performance in the MEA region. Today more than 25 000 units in the Arabian Peninsula are monitored with Wialon system. In the Middle East Wialon has found commercial application in the area of public transportation, including school buses and taxi tracking, car rental, security and petroleum industry.
In view of the region growth rate and its potential, we decided to strengthen our positions in the Middle East and become one step closer to the existing and potential partners. In other words, Gurtam is getting ready to settle in Dubai with a new office.
It should be noted that the idea of Gurtam presence in the Arabian Peninsula germinated long time ago, which makes Dubai office establishment a logical point in the course of Gurtam and Wialon geographical expansion. The first foreign legal entity appeared in Russia, followed by two more offices in Lithuania and the USA. Time has come to enter the Middle East – a place where face-to-face meetings and conversations are given top priority and where our team will be able establish effective partners support in the framework of global projects.
Gurtam office in Dubai is a legal entity, focusing on new partner contacts and existing integrators support. It’s already known that the office will be situated in the territory of Dubai Silicon Oasis technological park in the UAE free economic zone, next door to Fujitsu, Nortel Networks, Wavetec and other major companies.
The precise date of the opening will be reported in a while, but Gurtam team seems to know how to scale the white sun of Rub’ al Khali desert!
Have a good week and stay tuned!
