The Gurtam team is thrilled to share a new achievement: our products are tracking over 5 million commercial units worldwide.
At Gurtam, we usually treat a unit as a vehicle, though in practice, it can be any asset, movable or stationary, as long as it's equipped with a tracker. To put our scale into perspective: if all 5 million tracked units are trucks that are lined up bumper to bumper, they would form a continuous line encircling the Earth's equator more than four times!
Suppose it takes an average of 30 minutes to equip a truck with a GPS tracker. Then, it would take 285 years of nonstop work to equip all 5 million vehicles with just basic hardware. The scale of our collective impact on commercial transportation worldwide is truly remarkable.

A shared achievement
This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the Wialon partners, flespi users, and GPS-Trace clients. Each of these platforms has its own success story and tracks its own unit count, sometimes overlapping within projects that rely on multiple Gurtam solutions. However, even after carefully accounting for such overlaps, excluding duplicates, and checking out commercial and non-commercial units, the combined total across all Gurtam platforms exceeds the impressive 5 million. This is a significant achievement that we are proud to share with our community.
