In February, we updated Wialon Hosting, all the niche solutions as well as the Wialon app for iOS and Android. Read on to learn what new blocks appeared on the Dashboard tab, how you can provide drivers with the information from NimBus, and not just that.

Resource content export

We added the ability to export the resource content in the .csv format:

  • geofences;
  • jobs;
  • notifications;
  • drivers;
  • trailers;
  • passengers;
  • report templates.

The new option will eliminate the need to manually copy the necessary information and help save time and effort. Now you can copy the resource content in a couple of clicks.

Application example: Export the list of drivers with their names and phone numbers to be able to contact them fast without logging in to the system.

The new format of the exported report filename

Earlier, when exporting a report by the resource item (driver, trailer, geofence, etc.), there was no item name anywhere.

Now, the exported report filename will contain not only the resource name but also the item name. Thus, when exporting several reports, their files now have different names. It allows choosing the right file without the need to open it.

New blocks in Dashboard

On the Dashboard tab, we added the blocks with:

  • information on consumed fuel (by FLS) – the block shows how much fuel was consumed by FLS over the past seven days;

  • information on speedings – the block displays the information about the number of speedings in different categories over the past seven days in accordance with the "Road limits" detection method.

Bonus: Previously, all the existing blocks were shown on the Dashboard. Now users can decide which blocks they want to see there.Wialon Hosting

Displaying the unit properties in reports

We added the ability to display the unit properties from the corresponding tab, as well as the Unique ID value from the General tab, in reports.

Please use the calculator to add the unit properties to the report tables.

Speedings on the History tab

We added the option of viewing speedings on the History tab. Now you can monitor speedings not only through notifications.

Fuel consumed per ride

On the History tab, we also added the option to find out the exact amount of fuel spent during the ride by FLS. If there are several fuel level sensors, their values are added. Now users have easy and quick access to this data.

NimBus

Printing rides for a day

After units were assigned to the rides, dispatchers often have to share this information with the drivers or other interested parties. Previously, they had to do it manually but now they can just print the needed info in the form of a table.

The Print button is on the Rides tab. The option is available for rides grouping by all types of items: units, routes, and blocks.

Unit’s direction

Now the unit’s marker on the map shows not just the unit’s location but the direction of its movement as well. Thus, you don’t have to wait for the unit to move to figure out its direction.

On top of that, now these markers move smoothly.

Hecterra

On the Operations tab, we added columns with minimal and maximum allowed speed – when creating a new operation you can set the speed range for it. Now you don’t have to go to the operation’s setting to find out its speed limits.

Fleetrun

Period spent in service in hours and minutes

For creating a new service, we added the ability to indicate not just the date but also specific hours when this service will take place or took place. It will help:

  • plan the fleet workload judging from the number of spare vehicles at a particular time (applies to upcoming services);

  • understand how many days, hours, and minutes the unit spent in service (earlier, if the service started and finished on the same day, we considered it had lasted one full day). The option will also be useful when calculating some custom values where hours in service are necessary.

You can specify the hours and minutes in the service registration dialog (for services with any status).

This enhancement also includes a new “Service time” column in the services list and reports (for upcoming services) and “Start date” and “End date” for closed services on the Archive tab.
