For the third time, Wialon runs IoT project of the year, a contest on IoT projects focused on telematics. Read more about this year's rules, project submission, and other details.
Didn’t get to witness the previous rounds of the contest? Feel free to visit the dedicated website and watch the 2021 award ceremony to know what it's about. Already have a project to submit? Do it now – here if you’re a Wialon partner, and here if you use other software in your projects.
“The latest projects, apart from local market peculiarities, faced some post-COVID stresses, such as lockdowns in many countries and cities, delivery chains disruptions, lack of semiconductors and other components from China, and even new car and equipment shortages. On top of that, the war in Ukraine shifted the money flows and restructured business relationships in many areas. We’re excited to see how the service providers used their expertise and business wit to adapt to those changes.
All in all, we’re continuing to host the contest to inspire and praise the telematics and IoT sphere, giving voice to the projects that made unique changes for businesses all over the globe. Although our primary aim is providing a GPS tracking and IoT platform you can rely on, showcasing the successes of our partners and other telematics providers is also important for knowledge sharing, promoting the use of IoT and growing the IoT market for all its participants.”
Chief Wialon Officer
Any company that successfully delivered a project using telematics and IoT technologies can apply regardless of its residence state or software and hardware used. The primary language of this year’s competition will be English.
Participation in the competition is free. We accept projects that meet the following requirements:
The competition will be held in 17 nominations:
Every nomination with relevant project entries will have one of them as a winner. The number of projects per company is not limited, provided that they land in different nominations. So you’re welcome to submit as many projects as you can to increase your chances of winning.
When you’re submitting your project, we don’t ask you to specify the nomination. Nominations are assigned by the jury to ensure the correct distribution of projects that cover several business spheres and topics.
Please find more information about applications in the contest rules:
The jury of experts, including the Wialon team, will assess the projects. The assessment will take place by a wide range of criteria.
We also singled out the Community choice nomination. Its winner will be determined through voting among the members of the partner community.
We will hold the award ceremony during Telematics Dubai – and anyone will be able to join it via an online stream. This is a partner conference one day before GITEX 2022, one of the biggest global expos, and we will invite the winners to join us at the award ceremony, the partner event and the tech show to offer an immersive experience in the IoT world.
We will add 10% extra points for projects submitted before July 1. So hurry up! It will increase your chances of winning – last year, we had a lot of excellent projects which competed with a very close amount of points!
