Summer has ended, and today we want to reminisce about an awesome event we took part in the first summer month that left us wanting more. Expo Seguridad México is the largest event for the security industry in Latin America, where Wialon showed up again with the IoT zone.

The event united the manufacturers, distributors, integrators of security systems and related software solutions, as well as national and foreign end-users who met to interact and exchange experience.

In this article, we share our impressions, highlight some essential numbers, and talk about how Wialon co-exhibitors joined us at the IoT zone.

How the show helped to make the world more secure

Expo Seguridad is a traditional annual event aimed at bringing the safety awareness forward to a vast audience. This year, it attracted almost 11,000 unique visitors. Over 10,000 of them came from Mexico, the rest were from the USA, Canada, Colombia, Brazil, Peru, Chile, and other countries of the American continent, as well as Spain and China.

We were delighted to become part of the expo’s global success together with the Wialon community.

The one and only IoT zone and 11 co-exhibitors

The IoT zone by Wialon covered 180 square meters and featured 11 co-exhibitors.

The expo is and has always been a perfect ground to bring together the Wialon community and potential partners, discuss the industry concerns, trends, and the global direction to move forward.

Every exhibition visitor could explore the IoT zone to discover the advantages of Wialon for businesses, meet local telematics service providers, find the necessary hardware, get more information on the connectivity, and in general feel the power of the community. All this inspired and motivated the IoT zone guests to take their businesses and ideas to the next level.

“We are always happy to come to Mexico to meet with business partners, welcome other Wialon community representatives and help showcase their new and best-selling security products. Wialon itself can offer a lot in the security sphere: stolen vehicle recovery and even further – preventing vehicle theft. The demand for advanced telemetry solutions increased significantly over the last several years, and we make sure to satisfy this demand by meeting the challenges posed by the lack of safety,” explains Aliaksandr Kuushynau, the Head of Wialon.

The list of participants of the IoT zone included hardware manufacturers, connectivity providers, and the developers of Wialon-based solutions:

"The Mexican market is one of the most important and fastest growing for Wialon. I am sure that thanks to the efforts of Wialon partners and co-exhibitors who have accompanied us in this outstanding event, we have obtained even greater recognition and paved the way to acquiring a significant market share of Latin America,"  admitted Ricardo Sandor, VP of Business Development (Mexico & Central America) at Wialon.

Also, by tradition, a day before the expo, Wialon organized the Telematics Mexico City conference. However, that's a different story that you can read in another post.

What's next?

Any exhibition begins with the installation of the first element of the expo zone and ends with bright emotions, new impressions, collaborations, and ambitious plans. It was great to see old friends and meet potential partners. We are grateful to everyone involved and look forward to next year’s show.

Meanwhile, let’s gather at GITEX GLOBAL (October 10-14, 2022). Feel free to join us there to discuss how Wialon can help accelerate your business. And don’t forget that a day before GITEX kicks off, we’ll honor the winners of IoT project of the year 2022

On top of that, even more IoT zones are expected in 2023. Have a look at our events calendar and subscribe to our blog to stay tuned.
