Gurtam in Latin America: Expo Seguridad Mexico 2015

Last week, Gurtam participated in Expo Seguridad Mexico 2015, the largest exhibition of Industrial Safety, Occupational Health and Security in Mexico and Latin America. Everyone who has an avid interest in the industry, combined with an adventurous spirit undeterred by Mexico city´s frightening traffic jams, was there.  

Around 14,000 people visited the expo. Our stand was in a heavy traffic area, and people kept stopping by to learn more about Wialon, ask questions and interact with Ricardo Sandor and Esteban Hunt, our VPs of Business Development in Latin America, who were kept busy throughout the whole show. Different types of businessmen reached our stand, including integrators, security companies, fleet management companies, and even a company that provided location for firefighters. 

This was a great opportunity to interact with key players in the Latin American security industry, to learn more about their needs and to expose them to Wialon. It was also a good chance to share our experience as a market leader and to put Wialon at the highest level of consideration in peoples´ minds. Now, when they think of a GPS tracking platform, they will think of the Ultimate GPS Tracking Platform first: Wialon. It was also a good opportunity to collaborate with other partner companies present at the show, such as GoSafe, SkyPatrol, RCS, Ruptela and Teltonika, sharing information and referring prospects back and forth. 

Many of our partners enjoyed the opportunity of meeting Aliaksei Shchurko, our CEO, and Sergei Leuchanka, our Managing Director for the Americas. Many wanted to take pictures with them or ask them questions ranging from technical issues to the history of the company. Curiosity and eagerness to learn were met by experience and knowledge, and everyone was satisfied. 

We would like to thank all of our partners and friends who visited us at the stand and who shared their insights and points of view with us, making our participation at the expo an enriching experience.

We also had a great time at the 3rd DCT Conference: Infinite Possibilities, at Miami, that followed Expo Seguridad. There was fun time, learning time and bonding time and Ignacio Escallon unveiled the company´s latest development: a new 3G device with unlimited Vodafone data and subscription to Pegasus, which is fully integrated with Wialon. Clap, clap, clap!

It was an intense week but we had a great time, amazing meals such as tacos, burritos and chicharrón de queso, and were amazed by the interesting facts such as that we were driving along the longest avenue in the world. 

In addition, we felt very welcome by the Mexican people and their hospitality and want to thank everyone who helped us out during the expo. Even the taxi driver who gave us the one-hour-long-facts-you-must-know-about-Mexico for free.
