When the Minsk office was getting ready to take part in Securex SA, our Latin American colleagues went to Sao Paulo, Brazil and became part of the Exposec.

Why Brazil? Why Exposec? What opportunities should Wialon expect from the telematics market of Latin America? Learn more from Latin America Head of Business Development Esteban Hunt and Training and Support Specialist María Elisa Mota.

#8 In The World

Being the 8th largest economy in the world, Brazil offers numerous possibilities for Wialon. The demand for GPS monitoring solutions with the advanced functionality increases constantly. The transportation sector shows more interest in fleet tracking combined with cargo safety control, fuel consumption and driver behavior analysis. All those things that Wialon offers.

Why Exposec

The International Security Fair is the most prestigious industrial high-tech show of Latin America. Over 800 key industry companies exhibiting. More than 42 000 guests reported. Representatives from vehicle monitoring providers and logistics firms visit the expo to see what solutions may worth deployment.

An impressive variety of cutting-edge M2M technologies demonstrated makes it clear: having a great product is a half job done. Another half is to show the end-users how to benefit from automation deployment.

According to Esteban Hunt, to actively pursue the market it’s important to show partners and prospects how Wialon assists dispatchers and vehicle owners in controlling driver misconduct. Having an opportunity to prevent fuel theft, unauthorized use or unreasonable time-consuming uploads decreases transportation costs and improves operational efficiency.

Relationships matter

The Exposec wasn’t just a decent place to establish business contacts and find new prospects. Gurtam appreciates every opportunity to be in touch with the existing business associates. Hardware manufacturers Queclink, Suntech and Concox were participating. We stopped at their booths to discuss the difficulties and the specifics our partners face while operating in the Brazilian market. Gurtam from Solosat and Comando Rastreamento shared their opinion on the fleet management solutions providers in the region as well.

We DO speak Portuguese

Customer care is greatly appreciated in long-term business relations. Great news for our partners and leads was the fact that we’ve got a native Portuguese speaker on board. Representatives were really glad to hear that Wialon training and support became available in Portuguese. Paying attention to the specific needs is a surefire way to earn trust from the clients.

Expanding the presence

It’s been less than a year since the Buenos Aires office was launched to effectively deliver Wialon to local customer community. The growing number of the connected to Wialon vehicles in Latin America shows that we’re on the right track. Taking confident and diligent steps will allow Wialon increase the presence in Brazil.

Gurtam keeps participating in expos all over the world soaking up fresh ideas in advanced monitoring and fleet management. We’ll be glad to share the knowledge at the partner conference Telematics 2017
