Before we tell you about great Wialon Hosting updates, we’d like to share good news with you: Upon numerous requests from our European partners on Gurtam forum and several addresses sent to the company, we’ve improved Driving Logbook application.
For those not familiar with this helpful application, we’d like to remind that Driving Logbook is a handy tool which allows requesting a special tax report for trips. This report specifies the beginning and the end of the trip, its type (work/personal trip), initial and final position, duration, mileage data, etc. Besides, the columns, containing user notes, can be added to the report manually. All the changes, made by the user, are logged. This report can be printed and exported to file.
First, we’ve totally changed trip detection mechanism. Earlier the trip was detected by Trip detector, now we implemented the new event system ‒ same is used in Wialon Mobile client. It means that Driving Logbook works much faster now.
Secondly, now filling out the Logbook is more automated that will certainly ease the work for our European partners. We added "Private mode" sensor which automatically detect the status of the trip. When it’s activated, the trip has “Personal” status and vice versa.
Third, now the trip can be detected by using “Home” and “Office” geofences. Home to Office and Office to Home trips are now defined by start and end points. This way the corresponding trip status is detected.
Taking into account the above updates, Driving Logbook v2.0 is now much easier and faster to work with. We hope you’ll save time making trip reports in the updated app version. We keep on working on new print reports with additional information about driver/unit on it. So follow the news and leave feedback on Gurtam forum.
Have a great weekend!
