Gurtam expands to the US spreading the global geography of its presence on the M2M market.
The establishment of a representative office in the region is an important step in Gurtam global strategy to maximize the growth potential in the international GPS tracking market and provide the regional coverage of the key market players. Operating out of offices in Minsk, Moscow and Kaunas, the company has now moved to develop a significant new market across the United States.
The GPS-market of the US is the key strategic area for Gurtam to further the development of the flexible functionality of our Wialon software solutions.
It's important to remember that the US market will bring new challenges to the company, being fundamentally different from that in Russia and the CIS countries. Here meaning not only the intricacies of satellite GLONASS and GPS systems, but also the nature of countries' businesses.
Currently the company has a wide portfolio of more than 600 partner companies in over 60 countries, with a vast proportion of clients focused in Russia. With a view to furthering our partnerships with our current customers, remaining the core priority for the company. We are opening ourselves to the US market, offering our company's access to the M2M-sphere in a way not previously available.
It follows the successful completion this year of the landmark 200 000 units connected to Wialon Hosting platform worldwide, which in itself signified the continued and long-term commitment of our customers' businesses to us.
The US-based Gurtam's office will be headed up by Sergei Leuchanka. For the past six years Sergei worked for the global investment management and investment servicing corporation. His most recent position was Vice President of Regulatory Capital. Sergei received his Master of Business Administration degree from Babson College in Wellesley, MA. Under Sergei's leadership, the Boston office will continue advancing Wialon's brand globally by providing existing and potential clients in the US with the unique products offerings tailored to their needs, great value and exceptional customer service.
«Our international clients are looking for business opportunities that will respond to their needs on an on-going basis. Expanding the global footprint of Gurtam is not only an exciting development for the company, but one that will help to deliver significant longer-term value on behalf of our clients. In response to the growth market, the opening of Gurtam's office in Boston will provide an important bridge between the economies of the US, Europe, Russia and the CIS countries, linking together these core markets», said Gurtam CMO Aliaksandr Kuushynau.
