Freelance EN–FR Translator
About the role
We’re looking for a skilled freelance English to French translator who understands that great translation is not about replacing words, but about preserving meaning, tone, and intent.
You’ll work with Wialon’s marketing content, translating, proofreading, and adapting materials for a French-speaking audience while keeping our brand voice clear, natural, and consistent.

What you’ll do

Translate, proofread, and localize content from English to French, including:

Blog posts and SEO articles

Emails and newsletters

Case studies
-
Landing pages and website content

Other marketing and product-related materials

Adapt texts to sound natural and relevant for a French-speaking professional audience

Proofread and refine AI-generated translations

Follow Wialon’s editorial guidelines, terminology, and brand tone

Review and improve translations based on team feedback
Requirements
-
Native or near-native French, with excellent written style
-
Advanced English (C1/C2) — confident working with complex source texts

Proven experience in translation or localization, preferably in tech, SaaS, or B2B
-
Ability to work with deadlines and manage freelance workloads reliably

Openness to feedback and willingness to iterate

Readiness to learn new domains and terminology (telematics, fleet management, mobility tech)
Nice to have

Experience with SEO-oriented content

Familiarity with localization tools or glossaries

Experience working with AI-assisted translation tools

Previous work with software or platform products
