Data encryption, protection against the installation of incompatible software, and a black box function increase the efficiency of fuel consumption control at all types of transport and stationary facilities.
The Escort Group always strives to improve its products, taking into account feedback from integrators and direct telematics equipment users. They make every effort to ensure that their solutions do not stand still, respond to market demands, and bring real commercial benefits to our customers. They are pleased to present updates designed to expand the range of TD-BLE wireless fuel level sensors.
1. Data encryption
An updated version of the TD-BLE sensor's software ("firmware") has introduced a data encryption function. It is necessary that the receiving device, such as a GLONASS/GPS tracker, supports the decryption of incoming data.
What are the benefits
Encryption helps prevent attempts to intercept or alter readings recorded by fuel level sensors. That increases data security and reduces the risk of fuel fraud.
2. Protection against updates to incompatible software versions
This option protects against the installation of firmware for other FLS models or wireless sensors (DU-BLE, TL-BLE) on TD-BLE FLS.
Why is it important
The installation of inappropriate software usually leads to problems in the operation of fuel level sensors. In the case of TD-BLE, there is no chance that the "firmware" will be incorrect.
3. "Black box"
In the event of a disturbance in the reception device, the TD-BLE sensor still collects information on fuel events and stores it in the integrated energy-dependent memory for a month. The accumulated data can then be uploaded using the Escort Configurator mobile application for the past 30 days.
How does this help?
Modern telematics devices are not 100% insured against factors that harm communication and control objects' quality of control in the monitoring system. Although manufacturers are continually working to improve interference immunity, there is always a risk of problems. Especially when the signal is jammed deliberately, for example, to steal fuel and lubricants. Also, drivers often turn off the tracker, which transmits data from the fuel level sensor to the server.
Thanks to the "black box," TD-BLE users can be sure that they will receive all recorded readings regardless of communication conditions and despite attempts to deliberately disrupt data transmission. If the Bluetooth signal is lost or the tracker is disconnected from power, information about consumption, refueling, and fuel discharges will be stored.
To upload data, you need to select the appropriate option in the Escort Configurator application and specify the time interval (days, hours) for which you need to obtain information on fuel consumption.
The TD-BLE wireless fuel level sensor's new functions are easily customizable in the intuitive Escort Configurator application for mobile devices.
