Wialon Hosting Update 0912

No sooner had December come to power that we have so much to occupy ourselves with: humming “Let it snow” song, writing letters to Santa or preparing to become Mr. Claus for the ones who still believe. Gurtam team is among the latter preparing presents and has already prepared Wialon Hosting update that will reach our partners a little bit earlier. 

Account expiration notifications and user messages

Just recently notifications on account expiration were neglected by the users due to short time on screen. At modifying this we aimed to grant the user full control over the notification window. Closing the window is only possible by clicking the “cross” in the upper right corner. Thus, it will not disappear until you see it. The same is applicable for user messages sent via CMS Manager interface.

Infinite Map

Good news for our partners running business on the edge of meridians 179 and -179. Wialon maps have now become infinite. We removed the obstacles at horizontal scrolling, providing seamless transition to the meridian -179 and further. Apart from smooth scrolling, we made it possible for users to see the units on both the meridians -179 and 179 at a time. To activate the function, mark the corresponding field in the “User Settings” window.

Mobile key

Gurtam team constantly elaborates new applications oriented towards dispatchers and drivers. Order Management is intended to be one of such applications. It's at the final stage of development and has already been presented for our Eastern partners.  In case when multiple drivers start using such application, the authorization management issues come into play. Unauthorized access protection is now assured by a mobile key in driver properties.

Zoom it

It’s no secret that Wialon offers you quite a number of map layers to fit every taste. We are eager to make the maps fully compatible with the original. With this regard in December we increased the number of zooms for Google, Yandex, Bing, Here, OSM and other core maps in Wialon system to get it in line with the maximum number of zooms granted to us by the original geographic providers.

Handy Groups Management

In the latest updates we put a lot of time into grouping capabilities advancements. Extended grouping options demand much more convenient interface. Therefore, group trees were introduced in the left panel of “geofences”, “drivers” and “trailers” tabs.

Design Modifications

Concerning changes in design, new search_control filter stylization was implemented. As of today the search filter is upgraded by “magnifier”, “cross” graphic elements and “Search” inscription. Even though a present is not deemed to be useful, we hope that Wialon Hosting 0912 update will be one of the presents for the coming holidays you’ll surely use to advantage.
