Mark your calendar: Wialon events 2022 (updated)

For the last two years, we have stayed connected with the Wialon community as much as possible despite the pandemic situation. Apart from hosting online events such as conferences, webinars, and meetups, we managed to meet some of our partners in person during international exhibitions and even organized our traditional Telematics partner conference in Dubai offline. 

We also honored companies that brought successful changes to businesses around the world with telematics and IoT solutions. We congratulated the most prolific Wialon service providers, saluted the best manufacturers of GPS devices, and praised the most creative and innovative IoT projects.

The year 2022 promises to be no less eventful for the Wialon community. In this article, you’ll find a brief outline of our plans for the rest of the year.

Telematics partner conferences in Mexico City, Vilnius, and Dubai

Telematics conferences are partner events held to get members of the Wialon community together and offer them an opportunity to exchange experience and network.

In 2022, Wialon is preserving the tradition of gathering its partners, GPS hardware manufacturers, and Wialon-based solution developers for a day of knowledge sharing and expert talks. And this year, we’ll make it in several countries across the globe!

Check out the dates and venues of Wialon partner conferences that will take place in 2022:

• Telematics Mexico City – Mexico, June 27 (registration open until June 3)
• Telematics Vilnius – Lithuania, August 17-18
• Telematics Dubai – the UAE, October 9

GPS Hardware Manufacturers Top 10

The GPS Hardware Manufacturers Top 10 ranking lists telematics hardware manufacturers, whose devices were connected by the Wialon community most often over the previous 12 months.

We have integrated over 300 new GPS device models with Wialon since 2021. The total number now exceeds 2,700 models of GPS hardware from 670 manufacturers! Let’s find out together which brands have been trusted the most over the past year.

The offline award ceremony will take place on August 17, 2022 – the first day of Telematics Vilnius.

The conference participants will have an opportunity to visit the ceremony and congratulate the winners. Subscribe to our blog to get notified of this event.

Wialon Top Partners 2022

In 2022, Wialon TOP 50 Global, the first-ever annual ranking established by Wialon, changes its format, and now we’ll have 7 regional partner rankings instead. These rankings will honor partners who connected the largest number of units to Wialon in their region over the previous 12 months.

The number of Wialon partners keeps rising around the world. We want to be sure that we pick out the fastest-growing companies adequately. That’s why we’ll determine top partners in each of the regions where Wialon is used.

We will announce the leaders of the regional rankings on August 18, 2022, on the second day of Telematics Vilnius.

IoT project of the year

IoT project of the year is a global contest of telematics and IoT projects established in 2020. The competition sets no restrictions as to the applicants’ country, industry, software, or hardware they use in their solutions. Effectiveness and creativity are among the key criteria here.

In 2020 and 2021, we saw incredible cases in absolutely different industries, from construction to security, from agriculture to public transport. This proves that today’s flexible telematics and IoT solutions can fit any area and improve processes in almost any business. You can read more about last year’s projects in our use cases library.

This year, we invite companies from all over the world to submit their IoT projects until July 26 to make them known globally. The call for projects is already open, on my.wialon.com. Give it a go! By the way, we will add 10% extra points for projects submitted before July 1.

The award ceremony will take place offline on October 9, during the Telematics Dubai conference. The next day after the conference, you will be able to visit a comprehensive IoT zone at GITEX Global 2022. 

For those who can’t attend the ceremony in person, we will stream the award ceremony live, so you can join us online!

Going a little forward, we would like to note that the winners will get not only diplomas and trophies. Look for the details in our special blog article and on the competition’s official website.
