The second practical conference for Gurtam partners took place in Kiev

On August 22-23 Gurtam held the second practical conference which took place in Kiev. This conference has become the 1st event of such format for the Gurtam partners from Moldova, Ukraine, and Black Sea region of Russia. Among the participants there were also company’s partners from Armenia and Georgia.

Lookout was Gurtam's main partner in organizing the event and let the participants and guests feel the famous Ukrainian hospitality. By the way, Lookout was the first company to introduce Wialon solutions to Ukrainian market and in 2011 the company was given a title of the best Gurtam’s partner in Ukraine.

A hotel complex Verkhovina was the place where the guests were staying and meeting each other during the first day of the event. Kiev sightseeing tour was also included in the conference. During this tour the guests walked along Khreshchatyk Street, visited Saint Sophia Cathedral, St. Michael's Cathedral, Starokievskaya Mountain and Taras Shevchenko National University. The first conference day ended with dinner and playing bowling.

The second day started with presentations, reports and practical discussions. Gurtam team presented their reports covering milestones and the most important events in company’s life. Aliaksandr Kuushynau, Gurtam CMO, told the public about the secrets of company’s market success; Anton Hamalinski, Customer Service Specialist, devoted his speech to the promising areas of practical application for Wialon software solutions.

Discussions over Anton’s report were the most heated among the guests of the conference. Public found the topics about personal monitoring with the help of smartphones to track prisoners, pets and cattle as the most interesting. Such topics as cooperation with insurance companies and introduction of pay-as-you-drive insurance system have also been covered.

Viacheslav Krival, the Head of the Customer Department, told the public about Wialon Kit - the new product Gurtam that provides LBS providers and solution integrators of GPS and GLONASS technologies with the opportunity to build their own software solutions based on the telematics data from Wialon Data Center Vladimir Nedved, Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, introduced a new version of Wialon Hosting with much extended functionality compared to the previous version.

The conference presentational part was finished by Lookout team speech. They shared with the public their impressions about working with Wialon.

During the set of practical discussions other participants presented their reports. Overseer company covered the issues of using GPS technologies in the logistics management system. The ASK company presented its new Wialon-based product – system for the public transport monitoring.

The second day ended with a boat cruise along the Dnieper River, so guests had some time for informal communication.
