Gurtam announced the entering to the M2M market

Within the framework of Gurtam partner conference «Telematics 2012. Anniversary», held on November 21-24 not far from Minsk, Aliaksei Shchurko, General Manager of the company, highlighted Gurtam principal directions and development strategies, and mentioned the entering to the M2M (Machine-to-Machine) market as one of the key priorities.

Aleksei Shchurko pointed out that M2M market, the volume of which is constantly growing year by year, is a perspective development direction. M2M-technologies are actively applied not only in GPS/GLONASS-based vehicle tracking systems, where Gurtam has rather strong positions, but also in safety and security systems, healthcare systems, industrial telemetering systems (manufacturing, power production, housing services and utilities), etc.

Currently three major segments, occupying more than a half of global M2M-connections, can be distinguished. Significant part of the market accounts for housing services and utilities segment, the second largest segment is industry, the third one falls within commercial vehicles. According to the data, provided by the analysts, in future the most significant growth rates are expected within the automotive communication segment.

Today the global leadership in M2M worldwide market belongs to American companies. In autumn 2012 Gurtam took part in a range of events, dedicated to M2M direction. At the M2M Evolution conference, combined with ITEXPO exhibition, which took place in Austin (the USA), Gurtam presented Wialon program solutions. Among all the platforms, provided at the conference, Wialon system was the only fully integrated solution in the sphere of satellite monitoring, which thereby aroused great interest of the audience.

Due to GPS/GLONASS technologies development and equipment cost reduction vehicle tracking is becoming one of the most active M2M market development trends. Therefore, Gurtam is going to follow this direction. In 2013 it is planned to take part in M2M Evolution conference in Miami, as well as in several other events, dedicated to M2M-technologies development. Also in the near future Gurtam is going to launch a range of specialized M2M solutions, developed by means of Wialon Kit platform.
