Gurtam at SEEurope 2014 in Bucharest

In October 2014 Gurtam team journeyed to Bucharest, where took part in Telematics Conference SEEurope, the largest event for telematics community of South-Eastern Europe. The conference is a unique playground for meeting numerous market experts, discussing new industry trends and business models.

Gurtam team member, Aksana Astapovich, comments: «As for me, as a Regional Manager for EU, it was another great possibility to see our good old partners, such as Daniel Kitin, CAST Engineering, and get acquainted with the newbies, in particular with our Romanian partners Zarko Markovski, MIILES, and Razvan Perticas, CargoTrack. And for the sake of these meetings, as well as visiting MIILES office, situated in the northern part of Bucharest, we specifically dedicated some time before and after the conference».

«I’d say that communicating with our partners from our cozy home office by means of various available channels is rather efficient and helps to obtain relevant information and provide necessary assistance, but it’s impossible to understand the market, if you’ve never been in the country itself and its region, — Aksana continues. — Only in personal meetings in the native market environment, communicating with our dealers and competitors, we can join all the missing puzzle pieces in one entire picture. And then, armed with vivid impressions, live feedback and creative ideas move forward to the new (or at least improved) strategies and schemes».

The conference consisted of market leaders' reports, covering latest popular trends in telematics: eco-driving, fleet and driver safety and etc. Much time was dedicated to Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), seen as a successful way of company growth and development. In parallel with the reports, participants worked at the exhibition area, where Gurtam was neighboring with other well-known brands: Pointer, RCS, Teltonika, SeeMe, BCE, Ruptela, SafeFleet, Omnicomm, Technoton, Arobs TrackGPS and etc.

Further all the participants divided into three working groups and gathered in order to discuss popular trends in telematics market of the region. Our team shared the experience and Gurtam working principles. And as a live examples of successful work our partners, Milan Suletic, MonitoringNet, and Kaloyan Kumanov, NIK Electronics, joined the discussion.

The conference was very useful and productive, that's why speaking about the plans for the next year Gurtam CEO Aliaksei Shchurko mentioned: «We definitely need to come here next time. And make a presentation».
