The COVID-19 pandemic spoilt the game for people and businesses all over the globe. The number of canceled meetings, flights, trips, exhibitions, forums, and other events can’t even be counted. Unfortunately, the annual Telematics conference in Minsk added up to this number too. But we place the health and well-being of the partners and Gurtam employees above all else, so we didn’t hesitate when canceling it.
However, it doesn’t mean at all that the award ceremonies on the results of the annual Wialon TOP 50 Global and GPS Hardware Manufacturers TOP 10 ratings won’t take place. They will be held online! Especially since weekly Gurtam meetups have already set up a fruitful background for this.
GPS Hardware Manufacturers TOP 10 is the rating for hardware companies whose devices have been most frequently connected by the Wialon community over the last 12 months.
Wialon TOP 50 Global is the first rating established by Gurtam for telematics companies that connected the largest number of units on Wialon for the previous 12 months.
As of now, the supported hardware list contains more than 2,100 devices by 590 hardware manufacturers. The companies that showed the most significant growth will get together online, and we will talk to them. We highly recommend integrators and other members of the telematics community joining the ceremony to know which hardware is the most popular in the market.

Gold, silver, and bronze figurines will find their owners, and we will find out who didn’t throw themselves on the mercy of the coronavirus and connected the largest number of units on Wialon in the season 2019/2020.

In mid-June, we announced the new global competition of telematics projects IoT project of the year focused on telematics solutions. Other providers of telematics solutions can take part in it alongside the Wialon partners. By the way, you still have time to submit your project if you haven’t done it yet.
The deadline for submitting the project is July 30.
UPD: We’re informing you that the IoT project of the year award ceremony, which was planned to be held online on Thursday, August 13, is postponed. Due to temporary Internet issues in Minsk, we cannot stream the event with the quality the participants deserve; that’s why we apologize and postpone the ceremony until September 3.
On this day, we will get to know the best project in the sphere of the internet of things as per Gurtam expert jury.

We invite everybody to join us online on the given dates. Despite the situation with coronavirus and inability for our partner community and us to get together in one place, we are actively working on making the online ceremonies as great and memorable as if you all arrived in Minsk! Stock up with champagne even if it’ll be morning at your place.
Don’t forget: each Thursday, Gurtam TV works for you – meetups, webinars, panel discussions, QA sessions featuring the trending topics for the telematics community.
