Wialon achieved the 1,800,000 units milestone

Our partner community and us, we did it together – in December 2018, Wialon hit 1,800,000 units. Who was the lucky one to connect another 100,000th asset you wonder? Meet Integrated Solutions from Iraq. We talked to the company’s CEO Murtadha Fathil and asked him how he feels about it.

“We never expected to be among those who connected a milestone unit. It was really a big surprise for us,” he shared his feelings. 

Integrated Solutions is one of the leading companies in Iraq operating in the sphere of GPS monitoring.

The company was founded in 2012, and the story behind it is not very typical. Here is what Murtadha told us: “My youngest son used to run away from us and get lost in the markets and public places. I was trying to solve this problem somehow looking for the solution on the internet. It suggested using a tracking device. I thought that it might be a good idea and asked for a sample. After some time, I decided that an investment in this business might be not bad too. Though we track mostly vehicles. Currently, more than 80% of the company's revenue comes from the vehicle tracking department.”

For the years since its foundation, the company established five offices. Three of them are located in the Iraqi capital Baghdad and two more are in the country’s north and south. 

Partnership with Gurtam for Integrated Solutions started from Google search, but in this case, it was more like a happy coincidence. Murtadha: “At first, I was working with the Chinese Jointech and their GP4000 tracker. Each time I wanted to visit their website I was typing “GP4000” in the Google search field to click on the first result (because it was a very long domain). But one day (Sat 16/03/2013), I clicked on the first result and boom! It was Gurtam hardware list. What was Gurtam? Why did they have my device name? 

It turned out to be a GPS monitoring platform that could work with my device, and I could request a one-month demo. I thought why not?! After testing the platform for a while, I was shocked by its functionality. And you know the rest of the story.”

The company can boast delivering a number of ambitious projects. For example, Gurtam cooperation with Shell became possible due to much efforts that Integrated Solutions together with other partners put in it.

As for their future plans, Murtadha sounds very determined: “We are in Top 10 of Wialon TOP 50 Global rating. Our plan is to reach Top 5. I would like to thank the entire Gurtam team. Without you, your support and efforts, we would never rank so high.”
