Wialon 1001 platform for GPS tracking solutions

Wialon 1001 platform serves as a base for Wialon Pro and Wialon Standard solutions and it has been released in January 2010. Comparing to Wialon 0909 following changes have been implemented.

Drivers module

Drivers module makes it possible to create drivers and assign them to a vehicle. Automatic drivers assignment can be performed with iButton. In Wialon every driver can have any additional information, including a name, a picture and a phone number. In Reports it it possible to see which of the drivers was diving vehicle at a certain time period. More info...

ActiveX module

ActiveX module can be used to connect to server and transfer telematic data from Wialon to third-party applications, including ( MS Word, Excel, 1C-Enterprise and SAP R3).

Telematic server

• Data storage system in Wialon has been optimized and seriously changed.. Now messages from the GPS devices are processed even faster than before. Write-ahead logging (WAL) techniques for providing atomicity and durability in database has been introduced. Now all modifications are written to a log before they are applied. DB of messages, unts and their properties, as well as their journals of transactions have been set to different directories, to make it possible to use them on different file systems and I/O devices. Messages DB is automatically divided into parts and defragmentation performes for each of them only when a certain level of fragmentation is reached.

• Backup System has been considerably changed - now there are two backup directories curr (for the current backup) and prev (for the previous backup). Thus the old copies are transferred to the category of "previous backup" and automatically deleted. Backup system for units database and for messages database are running separately and on different methods.
