New Version of GPS Tracking Solution — Wialon Pro 1106
New version of Wialon Pro 1106 gathered many new functions that considerably broaden possibilities and capacities of the tracking system.
Attention! Script development and support of new GPS and GLONASS devices for Wialon Pro 1106 will continue till December 31, 2013. Online MonitoringThe work list in the Monitoring panel can now update automatically according to time when the last message from a unit was received. The time interval is set manually (for example, 5 minutes) in User Settings dialog. Not only the work list can be dynamically altered but also units can be displayed on the map. Icon displaying a unit on the map can now be rotated according to course direction (Rotate image option in Unit Properties). This is useful for real-time tracking on the map as well as in the track player. On the map unit names can be replaced with driver's names if any is assigned (Replace unit names with drivers' names option in User Settings). A button to enable/disable tracking of all units which are displayed on the map appeared in the header of the Monitoring panel. Mini-map can be now used not only to navigate the main map but also to track a unit. Just click on any unit on the main map to move this unit onto the mini-map. Then you can move and scale the main map, switch to any mode, and the mini-map will remain its position and change it only when a new message comes from the unit being tracked. Phone Calls and SMS MessagesNow it is possible to make telephone calls to drivers from Wialon interface. Driver's phone number is displayed in an unmovable tooltip to driver in the Drivers panel. If Skype is installed in your computer, you can make a call by clicking on the phone. The interface to send SMS messages to driver, user, unit or custom number was implemented. SMS can be sent from the Monitoring panel as well as from the panels of Units, Users, and Drivers. Besides, on the bottom panel of the program there is a button to open the common SMS dialog. TracksNow track can be built with one mouse click. A special column with buttons for fast track building was added in the Monitoring panel. Depending on settings, fast track can be built for current day, previous day, last 24 hours or any other period. Some new options appeared in the Tracks panel. Now you can see the track as a number of points not connected with segments. This new option is called "Points only". In the header of tracks table new buttons were added to show all tracks on the map and to delete all tracks at once. POI and GeofencesPOI (if they have radius) can be displayed on the map as circles of any color which is especially useful if you use POI for addresses in reports. Thus, POI now can be displayed by its name, image, circle or any combination of these elements. POI and geofences can be rendered on server instead of rendering in browser. It can improve Wialon operation if your computer is not very powerful but Internet connection is good. See User Settings => Maps. Export/import of POI and geofences was improved in such a way that now POI can be transformed into geofences and vice versa. Any POI can become a circle-shaped geofence, and circle-shaped geofences can become POI. Jobs and NotificationsNow you can control units approach and moving away from each other (so called 'moving geofences'). A new type of notification (Interposition of units) was developed for that. Besides, in the report on geofences you can choose units instead of geofences, set radius for these units, and get information about units approach to each other. New action for a triggered notification became available - Modify unit groups. So, when predefined conditions are met (exit from a geofence, connection loss, new driver, etc.), the reaction can be to include the triggered unit to a group or exclude it from a group. Mileage and engine hours accounting was improved. When notification triggers, the current value of mileage or engine hours counter can be saved as parameter in message (odometer or engine hours accordingly). It allows to have initial and final mileage or engine hours in report on trips as well as to use these parameters to create sensors (for example, engine hours sensor). Counters values can be saved also through jobs. Route ControlNew types of controlled events appeared in notifications - delay, anticipation, return to schedule. New mode with arbitrary sequence order of control points was supported for fulfilling a route. Such a route is considered to be completed when all points are visited (in any order). It is useful for courier services. In default mode (successive order of points) now you can control only the entrance to a control point (without waiting an exit from it). It is useful for route buses. Other Monitoring FeaturesSome changes were made in time system. New time zones (like Venezuela -4:30, Iran +3:30) were added. Besides, system users can choose scheme to switch to daylight saving time. For Russia, daylight saving time was cancelled since autumn 2011. Regio maps, i.e. detailed maps of Baltic region, are now supported. Commands which are sent to units can be customized. You can give them any names, set parameters and link types. See Units Properties => Command Aliases. It is possible now to switch off automatic displaying of popup events, i.e. online notifications and messages from drivers, just remove the flag "Automatically display popup events" in User Settings. Then, if a new event comes, you see only a blinking icon on the bottom panel of the program. In tooltips for POI, geofences, jobs, notifications, drivers, and reports templates now you can see the name of the account to which this element belongs. The search filter located in each panel was modified. It is replaced with so called 'dynamic search'. You just start to type the name of the element you are looking for, and all elements corresponding to the query are displayed at once on the list below. Sensors and Sensor ParametersA number of changes touched sensors and their properties. Thanks to it, now you have the opportunity to create a great variety of different sensors meeting your most refined needs. Bitwise parameter control was implemented. It allows to create various sensors on basis of one parameter in message. For example, the first bit shows alarm condition (on/off), the second bit indicates driver's door state (open/closed), the third - headlights, etc. For example, param199:3 should be written to control the 3rd bit of the parameter named param199. A sensor with constant value can be created. For this, the parameter constN where N is any number can be used, for example, const10, const-8.5. New parameters - speed, alt, sats, time - appeared. They allow to create sensors of speed, altitude, satellites, message time applicable to almost any unit regardless type of device you use. The parameter for a sensor can be set in the form of expression. In those expression you can use parameters in the current message (adc1, in1 etc.), parameters in the previous message (they begin from the hash sign #, for example, #adc1), bitwise parameters (like param199:3), sensors (sensor name must be written in square brackets, for example, [Fuel level]), constant numbers (const10, const-4.54 etc.), mathematical operation signs. In such a way you can create, for instance, a sensor to detect speed by coordinates. The System of validation was implemented for sensors to define dependency of sensors from each other. It gives the possibility to create complicated virtual sensors on basis of complex analysis of data received from various sensors. Validation methods can be different: logic and mathematical AND/OR functions, not-null check, standard mathematical operations, etc. UsersUser settings (from General Settings, Monitoring Panel, and Maps tabs) now can be exported from one user to others. This possibility concerns time zone, unit info tip, locator flag, city, log state, map position at startup, columns in the Monitoring panel, and many other settings. Now it is possible to forbid users to change custom settings (disable the flag Can change settings in User Properties). Thus, this user can see their settings (such as time zone, phone number, city, etc.), but not change them. In the same dialog one more new flag appeared - Can send SMS - to enable/disable the possibility to send SMS messages from Wialon interface. MessagesNow multiple messages can be deleted from database at once. At this, it is impossible to delete the last message as well as the last message with valid coordinates. New format to import/export messages from units was developed - .wlb (Wialon binary messages).When exporting messages to any format, the resulting file can be automatically compressed. ReportsNow Report templates can be imported and exported through XML files, it allows to transfer easily the templates from one account to others. In Print Reports dialog the new flag (Select all) to choose all sections at once was added. Report export to Excel was modified and now it is compatible with Microsoft Office new releases. You choose either .xls or .xslx format for the file. Driver column was added to many reports. It will show driver's name or code. Filtration by drivers was added to table reports. You choose either intervals with a definite driver or without any drivers assigned. New information in Statistics: Report execution time, Executed commands (count), Unfinished rides count, Engine hours (in trips), Mileage adjusted (in trips), Urban mileage in trips, Suburban mileage in trips, Initial mileage, Final mileage. Advanced ReportsThe table report Non-visited geofences for unit groups is provided with a new option Consider group as a whole. Depending on the state of this flag, group report can be structured in the same way as individual report or in different way: you get the list of geofences which were visited by none of the units in the group. Cells with geofence names are highlighted green, and if you click one, the map is moved to the clicked geofence. Group report "Unit latest data" was supplied with additional information about counters values. Besides, now it is possible to consider report interval when generating this report and show not the current data available at the moment of report generation, but the latest data for the moment of report interval end. ToolsNew tool - Track Player - was implemented (transfered from the Messages mode and improved in many ways). Tracks built anywhere (in the Monitoring or Tracks panel, in the Messages or Reports mode) can be played. Playback speed is adjustable. It is easy to navigate a track with a special time line. At this, messages with zero speed can be skipped. You track any location change, speed, parameters and sensors values, etc. For Address tool, there was added an additional feature to display geofence name if the found place gets into it. Nearest Units tool now can consider time when latest data was received from units, for example, for last 5 or 30 minutes, 1, 6, 12 or 24 hours. Management SystemNow CMS Manager provides the possibility to create a dealer with account having access to the same facilities (modules, services, billing plans) as a parent account (Dealer rights option in Account Properties). Entirely new conception of retranslation was developed. It supports data retranslation to several servers simultaneously and at different protocols (Wialon, Nis, Granit Navigator, Skaut, Cyber GLX). It also allows to retransmit data from a unit with ID which is different from its ID in Wialon. Localization ToolA specialized tool to translate Wialon interface into different languages was implemented. It has simple and handy interface. There is a possibility to sort phrases by alphabet or by text mask, find empty phrases, as well as check validity of translated phases. New GPS devices:Some new equipment was supported by the system:
