GPS Tracking System Wialon Pro Components

Wialon Pro GPS tracking system has the modular structure. It means that each company that is using Wialon Pro is free to decide what components are to be included into the package.

Basic Wialon Pro includes a telematics server, a cartographic server WebGIS and a database server. The system functionality can be expanded to include other additional modules.

Basic Wialon Pro allows you to connect GPS tracking devices with any number of sensors. If you want to increase the number of tracking devices, you can order a bump pack which contains 25 additional units. The cost of Wialon Pro totally depends on the number of units you need to track and the functional modules you want to add. With one Wialon Pro physical server, you can track about 10 000 units. If you need to exceed this number, we recommend you to create a local network of several servers.

Telematics Server

Enabled online unit tracking (detecting unit position and watching its motion, supervising unit parameters and unit sensors) for unlimited number of users.

Cartographic server WebGIS allows highlighting any number of POI and geofences, using regular maps (OSM, Google, Yandex, Bing, Navteq), adding your personal vector maps and maps from exterior providers.

Database server based on Oracle Berkeley DB stores all the telematics information on all the GPS tracked units.

Wialon Pro Additional Modules (licensed separately):

Backup Server	The second telematics server that provides a complete duplication of all data from the primary server and creates a point of immediate recovery. It is recommended to install and start Backup Server on a server different from that where your working Wialon Pro is installed. The Backup server has a full hot copy of data from Wialon Pro.
Reports	The module allows making different reports and charts on tracking units. The reports are generated based on the reports templates and parameters set. They can include any number of tables and charts and display the information over the set period of time.There are options to print the reports and also to export them into HTML, PDF, Еxcel, XML or CSV.
Notifications	Notifications allow receiving the notifications about any activity of a unit (exceeding the speed limits, leaving the geofences, changes in sensor values, ect). A notification can be sent by e-mail, SMS, or displayed online in a popup window.
Jobs	Jobs allows the system to perform automatically (at regular intervals or according to the schedule) a specific set of actions. For example, a job can be generating reports and sending reports by e-mail, or executing a command over a unit.
Advanced Reports	Advanced Reports allows generating reports on the unit groups, drivers, or the system users. As standard reports, they are generated based on the report templates and can display any information registered in the system.
Route Control	The module allows creating routes and tracking units which go along the routes. A user can specify one or several control points and assign a schedule for them. For further analysis, all information on how the routes are going is available online and can be sent as a report.
Drivers	This module is very convenient in case when there are several drivers for one unit. The system allows viewing the information about drivers (name, phone number, photo, etc), assigning drivers to units, and generating reports on who and when drives a unit.
Service Intervals	Service intervals allows creating an automated schedule of vehicle maintenance tasks by mileage and/or operating hours and/or time for each vehicle and automatically receive notifications when needed. The service plan can be created based on the mileage and/or operating hours.
SMS Management	SMS management allows controlling the GPS trackers remotely via SMS messages.
Pro Client	Pro Client is a separate GPS tracking web server. It includes cartographic server WebGIS, which is installed on a local computer/server with bad Internet connection to the main Wialon Pro server. The Internet is required only to connect to the main Wialon server and receive GPS messages. Pro Client is licensed for 5 servers (i.e. 5 remote offices/regions).
Wialon Mobile	Wialon Mobile is designed to control and track units from mobile phone or Pocket PC. Demo version.
Retranslator	Retranslator is used to transmit the data from Wialon tracking units to other GPS tracking systems in real time.
ActiveX	The module ActiveX allows connecting to the GPS tracking server Wialon through TCP/IP session (Internet or LAN) from different OLE applications such as 1C, Excel, Visual Basic, Word, or any HTML page.
SDK	SDK — unique instrument, representing a software development kit, which makes it possible to create custom applications based on Wialon Pro, broaden the system functionality, as well as integrate Wialon Pro with external applications.
Billing	Billing is an automated system designed to calculate the budget for the services provided by Wialon. The module allows creating billing plans for customers, monitoring their account status, and automatically imposing restrictions on the activity of the customer with a negative balance.
